The First Responders of Giles County are responsible for many heroic deeds.
The mural depicts firemen putting out a blaze consuming a home, a common occurrence in the early twentieth century when most homes were made of wood and heated by wood and coal fires.
In the center, the Red Cross administers aid to a needy family.
Many families were fed and given shelter under the glow of one of the first electric lights in Giles County, as shown in the right hand section of the panel.
The First Responders are true Heroes of Valor.
